One day in class, my English teacher said to my class that there was a grant to go to study to Canada and 4 people in my class could apply for it. I was very excited and nervous because I have dreamt about studying abroad for ages. Immediately I told my parents everything and they allowed me to apply for the grant. While I was waiting for the results I was very nervous and I couldn’t help thinking about that because in all Spain they’ll only choose 600, finally they chose me and I was very happy. But the election didn’t finishes there, the 600 people had to do a writing exam and an oral test and after that only 100 students will get the grant. I had to go to Toledo to do the exam and What an exam!, it was one of the most difficult exams I’ve ever done and I thought I won’t pass it but I never lose hope. I was in English class when my mum sent me a message saying that I passed the exam and I was in the 300 people who passed the exam I felt very happy and pleased. I said that in the middle of the class and everybody congratulated me. One exam more and I will be in Canada. The oral test consisted in a presentation of a theme and answer to some questions. I made it about the carnival and I thought I did the exam well but Who knows? The others could have done well the exam too. The 28th of March in the maths class I knew that I got the grant and it was one of the best news I’ve ever received, we stopped the class and the maths teacher invited us in the canteen and the English teacher too, my parents were very happy and my brother and friends too. Now I know that I’m going to go to Manitoba to Winnipeg a city with 700000 habitants. OMG! My village only have 4900, but I like experiencing new things. And now I meet several boys/girls that got the grant and we can share our doubts and feelings(They are very nice). Finally I want to say thanks to my English teacher because she informed me about this grant and I want to say thanks to my family and friends for their support.
Me voy a Canadá.
Un día en clase, mi profesora de Inglés nos dijo que había una beca para ir a estudiar a Canadá y 4 personas de mi clase podrían solicitarla. Yo estaba muy emocionado y nervioso porque he soñado con estudiar en el extranjero durante mucho tiempo. Inmediatamente les dije todo a mis padres que me dejaron echar la beca. Mientras esperaba los resultados estaba muy nervioso y no podía dejar de pensar en eso , porque en toda España sólo se elegirían 600 estudiantes, finalmente me eligieron a mí y yo estaba muy feliz. Pero la elección no terminaba ahí, las 600 personas elegidas teníamos que hacer un examen escrito y un examen oral y después sólo 100 estudiantes conseguirían la beca. Tuve que ir a Toledo para hacer el examen y ¡Vaya examen! , era uno de los exámenes más difíciles que he hecho y veía muy difícil pasarlo, pero nunca se pierde la esperanza. Yo estaba en la clase de Inglés , cuando mi madre me envió un mensaje diciendo que pasé el examen y yo estaba entre las 300 personas que aprobaron el examen , me sentí muy feliz y contento. Lo dije en medio de la clase y todo el mundo me felicitó . Un examen más y estaría en Canadá . La prueba oral consistía en una presentación de un tema y responder a algunas preguntas. Lo hice sobre el carnaval y creo que lo hice bien, pero ¿Quién sabe? Los otros podrían haber hecho también bien el examen. El 28 de marzo en la clase de matemáticas supe que me dieron la beca y fue una de las mejores noticias que he recibido nunca, paramos la clase y la profesora de matemáticas nos invitó a algo en la cafetería y la profesora de Inglés también, mis padres estaban muy contentos y mi hermano y mis amigos también. Ahora sé que voy a ir a Manitoba, a Winnipeg, una ciudad con 700.000 habitantes . ¡Dios mio! Mi pueblo sólo tiene 4.900 , pero me gusta experimentar cosas nuevas . Ahora conozco a algunos estudiantes que también consiguieron la beca y así podemos compartir nuestras dudas y sentimientos antes de ir a Canadá(Todos son muy majos). Por último, quiero dar las gracias a mi profesora de Inglés porque ella me informó sobre esta beca, y quiero dar las gracias a mi familia y amigos por su apoyo .
